RIVER MOUNTAIN FARM LLC BARN RULES/REGULATIONS 1.
Barn hours are 9:00a.m.
To 8:00 p.m.
Mon thru Sun. 2.
All children must be supervised by an adult or other arrangements need to made with the staff. 3.
ASTM/SEI CERTIFIED Helmets must be worn at all times when riding, jumping, hacking.
Ideally you will provide your own, but in the event you do not own one yet, a helmet will be provided. 4.
Parents are asked to refrain from commenting/helping or coaching their child from the viewing areas or rail during lessons.
That is what you are paying us to do. 5.
DRESS CODE: Proper footwear such as paddock boots, or a hard shoe with a heel must be worn when riding.
No tennis shoes.
Chaps, half chaps and breeches are preferred.
Jodphur pants and paddock boots are appropriate for younger children.
Hair should be neatly put into a pony tail with a hair net.
Tank tops and flip flops are also inappropriate in the barn and are not to be worn. 6.
Please allow 30 minutes prior to your lesson to thoroughly groom and tack your horse.
You should be mounted and ready to ride at the time of your scheduled lesson.
At the end of the lesson the rider is responsible for thoroughly cooling out their horse, grooming his mount, cleaning all of the tack and returning the equipment to the proper place.
All horses should be returned to either their stall or pasture depending where they were when you brought them in.
If it is the end of the day, please return them to where they live at night. 7.
All tack is labeled, as well as instructions as to what tack each horse wears.
Please try to put the correct tack on before you ride, and clean saddle, bridle and martingale after each ride. 5.
If it is muddy, please limit your hacking/trail rides to the walk. 6.
Jumping is permitted only during scheduled lessons. 7.
Please keep all areas, grooming stall, tack room, wash stall and barn aisle tidy and clean up after you and your horse.
Please replace or return all borrowed items immediately or in a timely manner.
Please throw away all trash and water bottles. 8.
Please lead horse with reins over their head and stirrups run up. 9.
Close gate to ring when entering and exiting. 10.
Please drive SLOWLY up and down driveway. 11.
Please park next to the barn on the gravel area 12.
Equipment and supplies are provided for school horses only.
If you are boarding your horse at RMF, you are expected to provide your own saddle pads, polos, boots, tack and equipment. 13.
Lessons must be cancelled 12 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged for the lesson. 14.
Regarding dogs, the management reserves the right to ask all customers to leave their dog at home.
If your dog is causing a problem of any nature it may not be welcomed and asked to stay at home. .
