Summer Session June 16-August 13, 2009 9 weeks @ $280.00 Fall Session September 15 – November 19, 2009 10 weeks @ $310.00 Dear Fellow Horse Lovers and Supporters! Welcome to Dublin Horse Stables from myself, Ginette Feasel (Miss Ginette).
I am the owner and operator of Dublin Stables along with my other family members.
I would like to thank you for your interest in horseback riding lessons at Dublin Stables.
Riding lessons are provided for hunt seat, western, trail and some of the lower levels of dressage.
I also enjoy introducing some local showing to my students.
With over *35 years horse experience, it is a pleasure to share it with fellow horse enthusiast 7 years and up as well as their supporters. *(I’m still eagerly learning all that’s new!) Summer session lessons are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9:15, 10:15, and 11:15 in the morning, while it cooler.
Fall Session lessons are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings at 5:15, 6:15, and 7:15.
Since Dublin Stables specializes in the individual rider there are only two students per hour to ensure individualized learning.
Thus we are limited to 18 openings per session.
Your registration papers and payment will guarantee your chosen spot. Since students are eager to ride, the first week we may have the horses ready when they get here.
Then the first part of each class students will learn, in steps, how to prepare their horses to ride, and safely hand walk them, with the goal of starting on their own once they arrive for a lesson.
Students will learn to ride from their “horse partners” with some assistance from myself.
The first couple weeks may run over time since there’s a lot to learn in the beginning.
Please be prompt (or even up to 15 minutes early) so we may be on schedule as soon as possible.
Our experienced student’s are a big help with the progress of timing.
Parents may help groom too if they don’t have other children to look after while at the stable.
This can be a great opportunity to spend time with your child while getting a therapeutic workout, mentally and physically! Teaching statement: At Dublin Stable’s we have kept within the lead of the revolution in horsemanship.
There has been a change in how we treat our horses: We no longer break” them to saddle: we “gentle” them, so they become our partners, their natural grace and athleticism restored and enhanced through humane and thoughtful methods.
Our focus has been on the contributions of nineteenth-century “whisperers and tamers,” as our modern masters the Dorrance brothers, (Ray’s mentors) *Ray Hunt, (Tom’s mentor) and Tom Curtin, (my mentor).
Truly the horse is our mentor. *Note – Ray Hunt, one of the best horse teachers, passed away March 2009.
I will continue my horsemanship to spread the word of Teaching Not Breaking! These men describe how the horse’s mind works, how horses learn, and how the revolution has used those principles, especially with regard to a training regimen for foals and horses that produces positive results to last a lifetime! I’ve personally ridden with Tom Curtin, in Ohio and in Florida, for several years plus spent time with Ray Hunt in Ohio.
You’ll see that our horses are very tame and enjoyable thus so are our lessons!
