P.P.S. Little Kings Russian Mystique – a.k.a.”Tikki” foaled a black and white colt at 8 a.m.
That’s 2 babies within a 5 hour period! Daddy is Rivenburghs Lets Roll Muchacho. 3 down and 5 to go! AREA FOUR Hello All! The fur is flying here at the Bailey Ranch! Mother Nature seems to be unable to make up mind if its spring or still winter ~ welcome to Utah! I’ve been very busy here with my new job, love the work but more importantly the people.
Makes it easy to put in the hours.
Took Wicoma to the first of the series for the Extreme Drive ~ we tied for 1st, broke it with speed scores ~ He did everything I asked of him so I have no complaints.
The smallest horse with the biggest heart! Gettn ready for Regionals, what a great job the club has done to get out the premium list so quickly! Thanks, it makes planning a lot easier for those of us that live farther away.
Good luck to all and we’ll see you there! ~Pam AREA FIVE Wow! The first show booklet just came out.
Puts the show season in to reality when you’re picking classes. I’m excited.
We have a great herd! I finally convinced Amy to let me take Diva (3 years of constant nagging finally wore her down).
She took Paco in trade.
So we both made out on fabulous horses.
Excited to see what her girls will do with Paco (he was looking for a girl to love) and I’m excited to get Diva in the MP ring. Carver has been practicing with Rocky (well he was until daddy brought home a dirt bike to play with).
But he did get a new saddle for his 5th birthday…yes, I said 5th.
He turned 5 on the 3rd of April.
Time sure flies! We got fabulous news that Carver won Area 8 youth awards in RFP Modern Shetland National Youth Award and Legacy Shetlands Modern Lead line Award.
What a fabulous program that is! I’m sure he’ll be estatic when he gets his awards in the mail.
I’m anxiously awaiting my HOF halter plaque for Bugs.
Should arrive this month sometime. The weather has just been fabulous. Horses have been working early.
Love the ponies since I don’t have to sweat and do extra work to get the pounds off.
Client horses are coming along nicely too.
I’ve been lucky to get such responsive horses that just love to learn.
Makes my job easy when a horse loves what they do.
I think everyone will be pleased.
Other than that, I’ve still been busy antiquing out my house and finding the next great find. Always have something in mind and I’m having so much fun.
Made a wine glass holder out of a rake head.
That was fun.
Got myself a new sectional for the basement too.
Much needed as the old 90s circle sectional was just way too dated.
Did its job though.
Mike has been busy with yard projects.
He’s putting in boxes in my garden.
It’ll help keep the weeds more under control (bermuda grass is terrible!).
Got a list of projects still for him.
I’m sure he’ll find a way to “disappear” and go dirt bike riding with Carver. Boys….Hahaha! Other than that, there really hasn’t been much going on here. We hope everyone is preparing for the Area show.
Should be a blast with tons of fabulous horses! Mike, Keri and Carver Tiny Acres–We are waiting for 2 foals to be born.
They are getting close to foaling.
I hope they hurry up, we need a foal for baby animal day which is next month. We are really getting excited to see what we get. Kathy is working hard on the jumps for the Area 8 show which is in May.
She has some real cute ones.
Kathy wants to do the jumps for the National show.
That is on her bucket list.
She does not know who to contact to do this, does any one know what you do? I’m trying to get horses in condition for the area 8 show.
We are only bringing 2 horses.
Jake and Dunner.
My knee is still giving me fits, I need to get stronger before I can show more horses.
I would love to show the little one that I have been training but I’m not ready.
He is though for a couple of classes. Your Mini Friend Karen Area VIII Show is May 25, 26, 27, 2012 – Ogden, Utah Golden Spike Arena June 29, 30 July 1 Kalispell, MT.
