Protests: Any protest must be made in writing to the MHSA board within 24 hours accompanied by a deposit of $50.00, which sum will be forfeited if the protest is not sustained.

Personal: western hat or helmet, boots, pants, western shirt or jacket 2.
Tack western stock saddle, western bridle with standard bit, romal or split reins 3.
Prohibited equipment (except in barrels, poles, and wild card event) mechanical hackamore, closed roping reins, tie down or martingale, draw reins, nose band, bats, whips, skid or bell boots, or bandages 4.
Protective leg boots or bandages are allowed in reining 5.
Gloves, chaps, breast collar, and spurs English: 1.
Personal: hunt cap, boots, jacket shirt, choker or tie, breeches 2.
Tack: appropriate hunt, forward seat, or dressage saddle, regular snaffle, pelham or full bridle with caveson nose band. 3.
Prohibited equipment: standing or running martingale, draw reins, whips, bands.
Splints skids or bell boots, or bandages. 4.
Optional: spurs of unrowled type, crop, breast collar, and gloves. 5.
Protective headgear and 1/2″ shoe heels are required for jumping classes.
Optional leg protection will be allowed in the jumping classes. Breed specific attire and tack are acceptable. Unsafe equipment is prohibited as determined by the judge. Improper equipment or attire will be penalized.
