50 MARKS 20 MARKS 20 MARKS 10 MARKS In the event of equality the TOTAL MARK from Phase 1 will take precedence, followed by the Manners Mark, and then the CONFORMATION, TYPE and FREEDOM OF ACTION MARK.

Split Classes: 1.

Where there are more than 20 entries forward in a class, the judges may split the class into sections according to the circumstances on the day. 2.

For the final judging all Horses should be invited back into the ring and lined up in any order. 3.

The highest placed animal (not already qualified) from the first five in the final judging will qualify for the Horse of the Year Show.

These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in this rule book.

This class will be divided into three sections as follows: Section A Lightweight hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying up to 12 stone 7lbs Section B Middleweight hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying from 12 stone 7lbs to 14 stone Section C Heavyweight hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, capable of carrying more than 14 stone Additional Rules 1.

The owners and riders of the hunters entered from the United Kingdom must be members of the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain, and all entries must be registered on the 2013 SHB(GB) Show Hunter Register. 2.

Entries in this class may not compete in the Small Show Hunter of the Year, and vice versa. 3.

The highest placed unqualified horse at any one of the qualifying shows in an Open Hunter Class listed in the 2013 SHB(GB) members handbook in the first three will qualify.

No horse placed lower than third will qualify. 4.

Qualified horses from Ireland are also eligible to compete provided they and their owners and riders are registered with the SHB(GB). 5.competitors must enter their horses in the appropriate sections, but section A will be judged first, and the judges shall have the power to transfer exhibits to section B or C if they deem it necessary.

LADIES HUNTER OF THE YEAR For hunters, mares or geldings, 4 years old or over, to be ridden side-saddle by ladies.

This class will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in this rule book.

Additional Rules 1.

The owners and riders of the hunters must be members of the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain, and all entries must be registered on the 2013 SHB(GB) Show Hunter Register. 2.

The highest placed unqualified horse at any one of the qualifying shows in a Ladies Hunter class listed in the 2013 SHB(GB) members handbook in the first three will qualify.

No horse placed lower than third will qualify.

Judging Guidelines 1.

Judges must not officiate at more than two qualifiers, and if they officiate at more than one qualifier, the two qualifiers must take place more than 100 miles apart.

For these purposes: a.

This class will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in this rule book.

Additional Rules 1.

Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as at 1st January in the current year is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes.. 2.

Working Hunters entered from the United Kingdom must be owned and exhibited by members of Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain. 3.

All entries must be registered on the 2013 Show Hunter Register. 4.

The highest placed unqualified horse at any one of the qualifying shows listed in the 2013 SHB(GB) members handbook in the first three will qualify.

No horse placed lower than third will qualify. 5.

In the case of two classes (ie Lightweight & Heavyweight) from the Championship class, the Champion will qualify.

In the event of the first placed horse already having qualified, the second horse will qualify.

In the event of the second placed horse already having qualified, then the third placed horse will qualify.

Fences will not exceed 1.14m (3ft 9ins) in height.

This class will be judged in two parts.

Part One (Jumping) will be judged first, without a jump-off.

The best 14 rounds will go forward to the next part.
