This show will be run in accordance with the rules defined by and available on the web site of the Gypsy Show Horse Association.

Otherwise, all GSHA fees [and membership requirements] will be waived.
It is important that you read, understand and enter in accordance with these rules with special attention to the rules governing cross entering of classes. (General Rules; Definition Competitions, Rule 8) 2.
All horses entered in any class designated for Gypsy horses must be considered a full blood Gypsy horse and registered as a purebred Gypsy within at least one of the following registries/associations and provide a current legible copy of the registration certificate with show entries verifying registration status, age, gender and current ownership: Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (hereinafter referred to as GVHS) Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association (GCDHA) Gypsy Horse Registry of America (fka Gypsy Cob Society) Gypsy Horse Association (GHA) 3.
No cross entering between Draft/Gypsy/Drum classes with the following exceptions: Classes designated Open/Farm (#088, 092, 093 and 105) and Ride A Draft classes (#095, 097, 099.): Open to Drum and Draft Horses (No Gypsy entries) 4.
Horses entered in Drum Horse Halter Classes (#074 or #080) must be registered as a Drum horse with either the GCDHA or ADHA.
Copies of registration papers verifying registry status and current ownership must be submitted with entries.
No Youth handlers in Class # 080. 5.
Liberty Class # 087: This is intended to be a fun class showing the natural beauty, elegance and animation of the Gypsy and/or Drum horse and is not necessarily considered breed association sanctioned or approved.
Placings will be determined by the Judge, and the Judge may request assistance from the audience.
Owner to provide an original CD (copies may not function) with their selection of music inclusive of designation as to which track, owner’s name and horse’s name and back #.
Must be provided at the start of the session including class # 087 (Friday morning). 4 2011 Oklahoma State Fair Gypsy and Draft Horse Show Competition Guide Handler/exhibitor with back number brings the single/entered horse into the arena and will release the horse at the start of the music.
Judging and timing starts when the horse is released.
There will be 1 ½ minutes of “liberty,” during which time, handler and one assistant, if desired, can be in the arena with the horse to encourage safe movement and action of the horse.
Whips and shaker bottles are permitted but touching the horse in any way during the “performance” will result in disqualification.
After 1 ½ minutes, the music will be stopped and the handler and assistant will be required to immediately catch the horse within the next two minutes.
Failure to catch the horse within the next two minutes will result in disqualification.
Exhibitor/handler and assistant must be properly attired.
